Dear readers,
You know I enjoy writing non-fiction devotional articles for the Christian Living site, and will continue to do so. But I’ve longed to branch out into the fiction writing world.

I’m excited to announce the publication of my first novel, Heart Strings. It is an entertaining and suspenseful cozy mystery that will keep you guessing to the end and give you characters you'll love.

Heart Strings was a semi-finalist in the 2016 Genesis Awards of the American Christian Writers Association.

It’s the story of Lauren Halloren’s reluctant return to her hometown. As a freelance writer, she longs for a serious crime story to jump-start a career that has been stalled in nice little magazine articles of interest to senior citizens. I hope you’ll identify with this woman as she stumbles into clumsy situations in her efforts to investigate a mystery.

In the end, Lauren learns the value of the small town, friendship, forgiveness, and grace.

Lynne Waite Chapman began her writing career with fifteen years of writing weekly non-fiction content for the BellaOnline.com Hair site, drawing on her thirty plus years as a hairdresser. Retiring the Hair site, she has spent the last eleven years writing weekly content for the BellaOnline.com Christian Living site.

She is a regular contributor of devotions for several print publications, and has written articles for many church bulletins and newsletters. She has also contributed articles to numerous internet publications.

Born and raised in northeastern Indiana, Lynne has always loved reading mystery and suspense, but has only recently devoted her time to writing cozy mystery. Her debut novel, Heart Strings—first in the Evelynton Murder series—was a 2016 semi-finalist in the American Christian Fiction Writers Association Genesis contest.

She currently lives in northern Indiana with one West Highland White Terrier.
