Black Friday cloth diaper sales have become a really big deal. Most cloth diaper and baby carrier manufacturers are pretty strict about allowing discounts. This year they are letting retailers discount heavily to help make up for a slow economy.
If you are at all interested in cloth diapering, this is the weekend to jump in. Discounts of 10-20% percent and free gifts are common as retailers try to help more families afford to cloth diaper. Cloth diaper gift packs are an excellent way to introduce someone to cloth diapers, without breaking the bank.
Some web sites are also discounting baby carriers. For instance, my own site will be discounting Moby Wraps and pouch slings, as well as other baby products. You'll also find Tummy to Tummy babywearing videos on sale (this is the video that shows how to use ring slings, wraps, pouches and other styles of baby carriers).
Baby carriers make a wonderful holiday gift to help parents have a free hand while they still spend time with their babies. Practical but nice baby gifts will be popular this year as many families are feeling the pinch of lowered income. A baby carrier is a nice substitute for a stroller, and is certainly much cheaper. An in bed cosleeper is much cheaper than a crib or bassinet, and offers comfort and safety for baby.
Other attachment parenting gifts include child sized slings, BPA free sippy cups and mom and baby exercise DVDs. Of course, AP related books and cosleeping products are also great gifts. Bamboo velour or organic cotton cosleeper sheets are another thoughtful AP gift that is practical but not expensive.
You can check out the savings and learn more by Googling "Black Friday Cloth Diaper Sale" or whatever product you are looking for. Some retailers are extending the sales through Monday. Some are offering free gifts with orders (kind of like door prizes!).
