Somer Renee Thompson Case
Somer Thompson had brown hair and bright sparkling brown eyes. She was seven years old when she disappeared on Monday October 19. Somer Thompson had just finished another day of second grade. For awhile Somer Thompson walked with her twin brother, a 10 year old sister, and a friend, but then Somer ran ahead of the group and disappeared. Somer Thompson was only blocks from her Orange Park Florida home when she vanished.
Do you know what happened to Somer Thompson? Because someone had to see what happened to seven year old brown haired Somer Thompson as she was walking home to the home where she lived with her mother, Diena Thompson. Someone who may not know that the information he or she has could break open the case of who killed Somer Renee Thompson.
Someone had to see the little girl talking to someone, or getting to a car with someone or even being grabbed or dragged by someone. Maybe the person believed the child was being grabbed by a frustrated parent and discounted the whole incident, not realizing the connection with the little girl they saw and the disappearance of Somer Thompson.
Regardless of how insignificant you may believe what you saw, it is imperative that you contact the local police department and tell them. Your clue maybe the one that breaks open the case and allows law enforcement to find Somer Thompson’s killer, and until the person or person’s that killed seven year old Somer Thompson have been identified and captured, no child is safe.
Somer Thompson was a bright-eyed and playful child, that much is determined simply by looking at the little girl’s face on her missing child poster. She is making rabbit ears behind her own head and maybe taking her own picture. Yet, it is evident that the little girl loved life. And those beautiful brown sparkling eyes are begging for anyone who knows something or for anyone who hears someone brag about hurting a little girl to come forward and contact police.
The day Somer disappeared she was carrying her purple Hanna Montana backpack, wearing her hair up in a ponytail and she was carrying her lunch box. According to America’s Most Wanted Somer Thompson’s backpack and lunch box remain missing and may be in the hands of Somer’s killer. Somer Thompson’s body was found in a landfill in Georgia. Anyone who is capable of killing a small child and then throwing the child’s body away like garbage is truly a monster. Yet, the person or persons responsible for her brutal murder remain unknown.

Jarred Mitchell Harrell, age 24, has been charged in the kidnapping and murder of 7 year old Somer Thompson. He was arrested in February.
