Review of an Environmental Website
All issues like climate change, global warming and wild life extinction have become well known to us. Schools are also teaching about environment. It is a good sign that issues related to environment have become so popular and people of all ages are aware of it. United States Environmental Protection Agency is also aware of that and has a website full of information about environment.
This site makes people of all ages and children aware about the effect of climate change and also explains the ways they can contribute to save the environment. There are a lot of articles regarding environment, which will be very helpful.
This website will tell you from where you can get help to get rid of any kind of environment related hazards. The contact information of different organizations that provide this service has been published here which includes every state and province of United States. This is really helpful for all.
For Children, it is easy to learn about climate change from 'Climate Change Kids Site'. This will be a great site to explore and have fun and a great help to make lesson plan. ‘The Climate Detectives’ page will be very helpful for children and will encourage them to explore the environment. In Climate change kid’s page games, animation, information for teachers and climate change calculators are very interesting. There are altogether six games for kids.
But environment is not only related to climate change. So, this page is not enough for kids to know about the environment of this world. Information related to wild life, latest news and other topic can be added. This site has some other pages related to recycling and waste management which is not shown in home page or, in kid’s page. So, it's tough to know that they have some other pages for kids.
Language used in 'Animation page', 'Superfund' page is not so interesting; some technical terms can be unknown to them. Even in some pages for grown people are not easily explained. Pages which are for general people should be written in a down to earth manner to make their concept clear as it is only for them not for any researchers.
However there are not many websites that have information for both adult and kids. The website of EPA serves people of all ages, though in a limited form.
