Red, White, and Green Punch Recipe
This wine based punch packs quite a punch.
Version 1
Ingredients
- 1 bottle dry red wine
- 1 bottle dry white wine
- 1/2 cup grapefruit segments
- 1/2 cup orange zest
- 3 cloves
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 cup candied ginger
- 1 lime
Directions
- Cut the lime into very thin slices.
- Place the grapefruit, orange zest, cloves, nutmeg, and ginger in a large punch bowl.
- Gently pour in the bottles of red and white wine.
- Add the lime slices.
Version 2
Ingredients
- 1 bottle dry red wine
- 1 bottle dry white wine
- 1 bottle rose wine
- 1/2 cup grapefruit zest
- 1/2 cup orange zest
- 3 cloves
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 cup candied ginger
- 1 lime
Directions
- Cut the lime into very thin slices.
- Place the grapefruit zest, orange zest, cloves, nutmeg, and ginger in a large punch bowl.
- Gently pour in the bottles of red, white, and rose wine.
- Add the lime slices.
Note: You may add ice if you want the punch cold. A nice twist is to slice the lime and freeze the slices before adding them to the punch. It helps cool the punch without diluting it.
