Dollar Bill Tavern is conveniently located right off of the I-75 Union exit in the heart of Florence, not far past Mall Road on U.S. 42. The owners are a husband and wife team, Lionel and Kat Gray. Kat is a former playboy bunny and her and her former bunny friends often hold fundraisers for the troops (and yes they are still gorgeous). Dollar Bill's is named after Kat's father, Bill, who was a pilot in World War II. What a wonderful way to pay tribute to a loved one that fought for their country.

The inside has been completely renovated in a beautiful, classy Victorian theme. The bar area has a breathtaking mahogany four poster bedroom set that has been converted to shelving and bar space (check out their website to see this). The posters are ornately carved and gleam under the lighting. If the gracious owners and beautifully appointed bar area wasn’t enough, the bartenders, Marcy and Maureen, are beautiful, energetic, professional, and they have your drink waiting for you when you sit down. It just doesn’t get better than this, but oh, yeah it does. The bar is smoke free! You can smoke outside on the nice porch area. I just started going to Dollar Bills and every time I have visited there the people are really friendly and the food and entertainment is great.

They have great happy hour prices and weekend live local musical entertainment, Thursday through Saturday. They have food specials all week long and football specials for Sunday games. They sponsor golf outings with meal specials for the remainder of the day. Hope I mentioned that they have crazy special Dollar Daze where all day long draft beer and hot dogs are only $1.00. Wow!!!! What am I talking about, draft beers are always $1.00 every day, all day. Parking is in abundance for motorcycles and cages.

They also have an assortment of bar food, such as, quesadillas, jalapeño poppers, wings, nachos, and other assorted yummy munchies. They have a full service menu that is always way too much for the average diner to eat at low, low prices. So far, I have never had anything that wasn’t good. The prices are great and the food is great. The fried fish and chips basket (my personal favorite) is "ginormous" and isn’t greasy, just extra tasty.

At Dollar Bill’s you are just as likely to meet a real estate developer, banker, or judge as a you are a blue collar worker or biker, but you probably won’t know the difference unless of course by the leathers. I have never seen any issues arise or seen anyone trying to prove anything at Dollar Bills but just that everyone wants to have fun. On any given week night or weekend day, the usual white and blue collar crowd can be found hanging out enjoying each other’s company.

My husband and I have been looking for a place that no matter what we ride or drive, we are always welcome and feel like it is home. Dollar Bill's is a true "Cheers" type atmosphere that makes you feel welcome. We would love for you to come and share the fun with us.
