Ronnie Milsap, Jason Eaton & Joe Henschel
Then Sings My SoulRonnie Milsap
Any country and western fan worth his salt should know about the great tenor vocals of Ronnie Milsap. For years he as entertained us with hits like “She Keeps the Home Fires Burning” and “Day Dreams About Night Things” now he is going back to his roots and serving up good old fashion gospel on a two disc CD set that is well worth the listen. Opening up with the soul-stirring classic “I’ll Fly Away” Milsap’s rendition of this classic is pure, simple and heartfelt. Next he moves into “How Great Thou Art” and from that point on it is one standard classic after another delivered with such richness that expresses the true heart of each song. My grandmother was a country and western fan and she would have absolutely loved this project if she was alive today. There is a classic on here for anyone and my personal favorite “Swing Down Chariot” is a spirited tune that showcases the quartet flavor of Milsap. A great traditional southern gospel project for all to enjoy. To learn more about Ronnie Milsap log on to www.ronniemilsap.com
Nothing BackJason Eaton
Opening with the pensive title song Jason Eaton smooth vocals and slick synthesized production speak of giving all to God. Holding “Nothing Back” from God and it appears as though he is holding nothing back from his listeners too. While the title song is one of hard hitting tracks and driving guitar beats the next song on the project “God Thing” is a sweet, pop-rock tune and then he moves right into a ballad with “Free” which beautiful speaks of the goodness of God and how it can set us free. Although he is a new Christian artist he is no stranger to Christ. He accepted him as a teenager and from that point on dedicated his music and life to him. After stints in several groups and musicals including the musical “David a Man After God’s Own Heart” he is now embarking on a solo journey. Well if this project is any indication we have a lot of good things to look forward to from Jason Eaton. Check out Jason at href=https://www.jasoneaton.org>www.jasoneaton.org
CaptureJoe Henschel
This project gives you immediately that sweet, clear, feel good praise and worship music right from the start. Opening with “My Heart Speaks” Henshel sings with conviction of wanting to praise God with all of his heart. The song is like most praise and worship tracks easy to listen to and sing along with while driving, walking or doing anything. Hershel should know all about praise and worship as he is the San Diego based worship leader for the group Farewell Down. He was not looking to go solo but he felt the call to record worship music and stepped out on faith to do just that. Other tracks to notice are “You Never Let Go” and “Majesty” good solid songs.
