Lift Every Voice Has New Host
Corey Condrey
Atlanta based DJ, Cory "CoCo Brother" Condrey has been announced as the new host of BET's Lift Every Voice. The show a Sunday morning staple has been MIA for a while since the original host Brother Gerard Henry left early last year. Henry was informed of the decision to change the format of the show last year and departed on "good terms" with the company according to recent press reports.
Rumors have been flying that Condrey would be tapped as the new host and this week Gospel@Bellaonline received news confirming the rumors. Condrey is known for his nationally syndicated radio show The Spirit and recently married gospel artist JoAnn Rosario.
Condrey kicks off the first show with an exclusive interview from Pastor Donnie McClurkin who speaks about the recent death of his beloved sister Oliva and how throughout a life full of tragedy he is able to press through and grow closer to God.
Lift Every Voice will also feature Oscar winning actor Lou Gossett Jr. speaking boldly regarding racism and finding the path that leads to God. The show promises to feature insightful testimonies from some of mainstream and Gospel's biggest and brightest stars.
The show will also focus on the guests' journeys with the Lord in their everyday life. The show also provides an opportunity for our guests to advise others who are living similar experiences on how they can use faith to overcome adversities.
You can catch the show on Sundays at 10am EST on BET. Check your local listing.
