Christmas Greetings to all Golf fans it is a special time of year for giving and sharing our love of golf. Since many of you are in the cold and wintry northern states and golf is far from your mind. It could be a time of year to think about some lessons, trying out new clubs and planning a trip to the sunny south for a few rounds at some great golf courses.

Do some research on the area you would like to visit and find some special deals that includes golf and accommodations available? Depending on the amount of time and affordability in these tough economic times you should find something that fits your standards. If you live in the eastern states, check out coastal states and down as far as Florida. You will find many golf courses that will be giving great deals on courses to play and places to stay. January and February will be an ideal time to plan a vacation that includes a few rounds of golf.

If you live in Middle America head south to Texas, Louisiana or Alabama and the warm sunny days will put you in the mood for some golf. Texas golf courses I know about are looking to offer great deals during the winter months. I can relate about the Mill Creek Golf club where I am a member our course is in the best shape in many years. We are continuing to improve and interest new members. We are a 27 hole golf club and can accommodate many tour groups and people playing at any time.

Because of the economy it is hurting many golf courses in the area. They offer many different membership opportunities and give a certain dates in which they will reduce their rates for new members. Many golf courses in Texas have a winter rate for guest and our Mill Creek Golf Club also has housing accommodations with the Stagecoach Inn with a fee covering both. This club promotes groups of friends plus large corporation outings for special deals. We have many of these types of events in the past but the economic times may take its toll. We have to welcome the guests and be willing to promote our golf course in these trying times.

Within driving distance of Salado which is located in central Texas with one of our golf hole called The Heart of Texas, a person can find hundred’s of different golf courses to play every day. With this Christmas Greeting take the time to do some research and head south to enjoy that wonderful game of golf in a course of your choice.
