Chapman Family Celebrates Wedding

Recently the eldest daughter of Steven Curtis Chapman married her long time love Tanner Richards in a private ceremony at the Chapman home in Tennessee. The event was a culmination of a year filled with pain, loss and finally love.
As many of you may remember, the Chapman family experienced a tragic loss when their youngest daughter Maria was accidentally struck by her brother and killed while he was driving into their driveway in the family's SUV. Since that time the Chapman’s have gone on national televisions' The Larry King Show to express their grief over the tragedy and their commitment to God and his ability to heal them during their loss. Their willingness to speak on something so private and painful was one that many Americans admired and it ministered to so many hurting souls in our country.
Now the family has grown closer during this time and moved on to celebrate the wonderful event of the marriage of their daughter to her new husband. Married on October 4th below are pictures of the young couple and their family and friends including Steven and Mary Chapman the proud parents of the bride.
Emily’s brother Caleb Chapman performed Steven’s hit song “Cinderella," for the traditional father of the bride dance since the father of the bride wasn't be able to sing it, as he was dancing with his daughter. Steven also composed music especially for the ceremony, including the music Emily and her bridesmaids entered into the ceremony with.
Maria Chapman, who died tragically this past May, was buried in her bridesmaid dress that matched those worn at ceremony. I can only imagine that this new born angel attended the ceremony in spirit and was looking down from heaven with a smile the entire day. The love between a family and a child that dies is never lost it just changes from the worldly realm to the spiritual one.
As a mother who has lost a child I want to extend my love and support to the Chapman family and request that my readers continue to do the same. As the photos show...life is really a wonderful thing that is meant for us to enjoy until that special time when God calls us all home. Many happy returns Chapman family and God bless you.
