I received an email with information on a new company called www.sassyswings.com which sells decorated golf gloves for the women who wants style while playing golf. Sassy Swings is trying to move women’s golf accessories in a new direction. These gloves are decorated with beads that add sparkle and charm to add some flare to your golf outfit. They claim to use the highest quality leather for a comfortable fit but all are in white.

This web site has a series of pictures that show the different decorated golf glove each golf glove has a name that sets it apart so you can order by its name. They list the special beads such as hematite, golf, silver and Swarovski crystals all strung as a bracelet at the wrist. It also states that these beads can be used as a stroke counter by simply sliding the bead after each shot. It also includes a matching ring the fits on her finger.

Now that last statement as using these beads as a stroke counter really got to me, no one but new golfers would need to use such help in keeping track of her strokes. It also mentions other clichés such as you can show these gloves off to their friends, or can woman have too much jewelry or just being a conversational piece. Regular golfers are more concerned that the glove helps them with their grip and their golf game.

These gloves were created for women who love to personalize their golf accessories and love fine, beautiful things. The idea for these gloves came on a whim when her girl friend added a ring to her golf glove. The company founders were Tina Sieberman and Lisa Sacco from St. Louis. They set out to create a ladies golf glove that was unique with some sparkle and add more jewelry. The company was formed in 2005 with these two friends and the adventure took off with the blessings of their husbands who supported their dream.

They presented their designs at the PGA Merchandise Show in 2006 in Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. The owner’s gloves that are presented here are named Alicia, Renee, Sophia, Gale and Tia. All are designed with the jewelry mentioned above and cost from $39.00 to $49.00 with Tia being a customized one with your birth stones or those of your children. No price was given for that model.

My take on this is very different as I do not wear a glove while playing golf. Many of my friends do wear gloves and some on both hands. They buy many gloves as with our humid weather they need to change during playing 18 holes of golf. I think these gloves are very attractive but the friends I have played with in my 50 years of playing this game I think would pass because of the price. If you play a lot of golf your glove will wear out, but I am sure these beads could be attached to a new glove. They also suggest that you could have them re-strung as a bracelet. Sometimes I like to purchase items that are suggested to me but since I do not wear a golf glove and the price is out of my price range just to give a recommendation check out www.sassyswings.com
