Everlasting Bad Boys
Everlasting Bad Boys (Brava) has stories from Shelly Laurenston, Cynthia Eden, and Noelle Mack, all with a paranormal bent. Laurenston's 'Can't Get Enough' continues her great shapeshifter storytelling, but with a twist: Ailean the Wicked and Shalin the Innocent are dragons. Ailean is definitely a fighter, but it's time to settle down, and Shalin is just the right dragon for him. He just has to persuade her of that. Eden's 'Spellbound' has the witch Serena summoning a soul-hunter to save her coven from binding and death, but Luis's price for completing her task is a high one. 'Turn Me On' from Mack has Beth hooking up with her new boss Justin and discovering that not just his touch is electric. I'm a big Laurenston fan, and this one was different from her usual shifters. I liked it quite a lot, though I didn't find it nearly as hot as her other series. Eden's story is intriguing, and if she keeps writing in this vein, she just might make a fan of me yet. Then we have Mack, and a different sort of paranormal than her historical wolves. I liked this one better than that series of hers, simply because it's so different, and not just for her, but different from most other paranormal stories. The story gets off to kind of a slow start, but once she finally settles into the relationship and reveals the paranormal aspect, this one is a real grabber. For me to find an anthology that contains three great stories is unusual, but this one was good from start to finish. I'm borrowing four of Cupid's five arrows for this one. And waiting impatiently for Laurenston's next book.
Until next time, happy reading!
