Modern Bride magazine unveiled "The World's 50 Best Honeymoons" in the August/September 2008 issue, with its 12th annual honeymoon survey. The magazine polled a group of 6,000 of the country's best travel agents, all part of the prestigious Virtuoso network.

Italy continues its reign as the world's best honeymoon destination (last year it knocked Hawaii from the top spot that it had held for the previous 10 years). Hawaii continues to rank second. Greece made a huge jump this year from #10 to #5; Bali and Turks & Caicos were not on the top 10 list last year, but made it in 2008. California is the highest-ranked domestic locale -- coming in at #26.
