Where Two or Three Are Gathered

Guest Author - Sandy Lovern

If you are not part of a sweeps group online, or in your local area, I urge you to join one. Sweepstaking can be a very lonely hobby if you have no one to share exciting sweepstakes, hopes and dreams with. Have you ever heard the old saying, “The banana that gets separated from the bunch, gets peeled?” Loneliness combined with no winnings, is a recipe for discouragement.

Surround yourself with other sweepers. Hearing about what others are winning, can spur you on to write that one more 3 x 5 card, or drive you to enter just one more time at that site where you feel you will never win anything.

There is just something about getting together or talking with other sweepstakers that lifts you out of the doodle dums and gets you motivated once again. You have energy within your body, and when you combine that with others, the energy can become explosive.

Google to find online sweepstaking groups and you can also usually find a group associated with the sweepstaking newsletter you hopefully subscribe to. If you are having difficulty locating a group, why not consider starting a sweepstaking group yourself? Try running an ad in your local paper or Craig’s list and see if there is any interest. As with anything, you need to be very careful giving out your personal information on the web, but we can’t become paranoid either.

If you feel uncomfortable doing that, why not ask around in your church, the gym where you work out, or at your place of employment? You can post a flyer in places where you feel the right clientele would see it, and you might generate some interest in sweepstaking.

I remember I was walking past a small bookstore one day and saw the proprietor glumly standing behind the register of an empty store. I walked in and started up a conversation with her, which led to sweepstakes. She got so excited! Weeks later I returned and she had her entire register area covered with envelopes she was decorating. It really turned out to be a blessing because months later, she ended up having back surgery and was laid up for a long time. But…she sure was not bored. She used that time to decorate the most beautiful envelopes and she also began winning contests.

It doesn’t have to be a group, just find someone who expresses an interest in sweepstaking and you might win a friend for life!

Get the inside scoop on how people are winning all of those sweepstakes and contests, and here's a clue, it's not all luck! Sweepstakes Your Guide to Winning! will give you step-by-step instructions on how to be a winner. To learn more, go to Sweepstakes Your Guide to Winning!
