We live is such a rushed world. We live our lives hurrying from one thing to the next. There are so many daily tasks that we are faced with, that we do not even have time to get to all the many lists, and tasks that we have set for ourselves. Or, that others have set for us.

Sometimes we want to just run away from everything and everyone. We even question if anyone would miss us? Not just miss the things we do for them; but actually miss the living, breathing, feeling person, behind everything.

Guess what? You are missed. You don't have to go anywhere, or do another thing and you are missed. By whom?--you might ask? By God. Yes, God misses you. I bet you find that hard to believe. Yet it is true. God misses you. He misses the you He created you to be. He misses talking with you. He misses sharing time with you. He misses having your undivided attention. He misses the time when you would give Him more than a drive-by, thank You, Lord!

Are you finding this hard to believe? I tell you only the truth...God misses His creation. He has so much to give you. So much that He wants to tell you. But you have been so busy with this rushed and harried life, that you forgot that there is a part of you that yearns to be filled and satisfied. It is that part of you that has been created in the image of God. It is that part of you that is spirit. That part that yearns to be filled and taken notice of.

Did you know how precious you are to God? Did you know that there is nothing that God would not do for you, according to His will? There are things that you are experiencing right now, that you feel so overwhelmed with. There are circumstances and situations that you are presently faced with, and you don't know where to turn. Guess what? God knows that, and He wants you to come to, Him. He wants you to sit on, His lap and tell, Him what's in your heart. He wants to spend some time with just you!

Why is it so hard to believe that God misses you? If you are a parent and your child goes away--do you not miss them? Of course you do. Someone you love has left, and has not kept in touch, do you miss them? Of course you do. Well…So it is with God--He misses you. And, He has something special waiting just for you.

I encourage you to take some time out from your busy and rushed schedule. Take a seat in the lap of God. Speak with the, Father, as He holds you and fills your soul and spirit with the very necessities of life. He really does miss you!
