But it is an 85-acre, all-inclusive property about 50 minutes from the Cancun International Airport that offers vacationers some amazing amenities, such as seven restaurants, two huge free-form pools, seven Jacuzzis and the largest spa in Latin America. Plus, it’s adults only—no kids allowed!

And if you and your new spouse crave some “alone time” at this expansive property, there are certainly ways to do that—in the double Jacuzzi that you’ll find in each room, on the hammock that’s strung across your room's balcony, during a couples’ massage at the full-service spa, or while you’re paddling a two-seater kayak in the lagoon.

Similarly, two sections of the resort have distinct atmospheres. The south side is where you’ll find activities like poolside bingo and water volleyball; this is also where the tennis and basketball courts are located. The north side is all about peace and relaxation, with a quieter vibe by its pool; this is where the Japanese Garden, the Yoga Temple and the Zen Labyrinth are found.

Sample different cuisine, including Mediterranean, Mexican, Asian and Argentinean at the various restaurants; all meals are included in the price of your vacation, since it’s an all-inclusive property. Drinks are included, as well, so have fun ordering tropical concoctions at the many bars found throughout the property. Then, if you want to stay fit on your honeymoon, work off all the yummy food you’ve enjoyed by using the state-of-the-art equipment in the fitness center, taking some aerobics classes, ascending the 100-foot climbing wall, or doing some laps in the nifty cross-current pool.

Honeymooners receive the royal treatment at the Aventura Spa Palace. When you book your vacation, just let the resort know that you’ll be on your honeymoon. After you check in, you’ll meet with a representative at a dedicated honeymoon desk to book your romantic candlelight dinner and pick up souvenir T-shirts. You’ll also have a fruit basket and bottle of sparkling wine waiting for you in your room! At a weekly cocktail event just for honeymooners, you’ll meet other couples celebrating their first vacation as husband and wife.

Destination Weddings at Aventura Spa Palace
The Aventura Spa Palace is an extremely popular spot for weddings—in April through June the resort sees 150 weddings a month! Ceremonies typically take place at the gazebos on the property; the resort is not set up for ceremonies on the beach since it borders a protected lagoon, as opposed to wide stretches of sandy oceanfront. Remember that because this is an adults-only resort, children are not allowed as guests at any wedding ceremony.

The resort has several on-staff wedding coordinators, and you’ll be assigned someone to help you arrange all the details of your celebration from start to finish. Choose from various wedding packages or make your selections from an a la carte menu of services. There’s even one totally FREE wedding package; it includes just the basics (such as gazebo location with chairs, justice of the peace, sparkling wine served right after the ceremony and dinner reservations for up to 50 guests), but it might be ideal for couples looking for an affordable way to get married in a tropical destination.
