A Most Unusual Performer
A couple years ago, I bought Charlie Frye's Eccentricks DVD. I was so impressed and entertained, I promptly bought his next two DVDs, Eccentricks Two and Three.
Charlie is one of Europe’s most sought after American specialty acts and has established quite a reputation for himself in the United States. Charlie and his wife were named Las Vegas’ Specialty Act of the Year for their star billing in the Folies Bergere. Charlie has opened for Liza Minnelli and had a featured appearance in Tom Hanks' film, "That Thing You Do."
Charlie combines juggling, magic and pratfalls to be one of the most captivating entertainers since Dick Van Dyke. Charlie's physical comedy is incredible.
His three DVDs also teach how to do his stunts. Where else can you learn about hat juggling? But Charlie teaches it to you. One or two tricks with a bowler will accent your act and make for an interesting transition between sets.
Charlie has a ball and vase routine that will put new life in this classic prop. He also teaches a great Cups and Balls routine as well as an hilarious version of the multiplying balls. He teaches some card tricks that both entertain and amaze.
Jugglers will love Charlie's wonderful routines. From tricks with his hat, Charlie progresses to tricks with a cane, plate spinning and some great ball juggling.
Just watching Charlie perform will give you ideas on how to make your own act more interesting. Although Charlie's tricks and sleights are great, it's the presentation that makes him one of the best entertainers out there.
Charlie Frye joins Sylvester the Jester and the Great Tomsoni as one of my favorite entertainers. Adding comedy and surprise to their magic, these men do something few entertainers can do - capture the audience's attention in a way that appeals equally to all ages. They make magic less about the tricks and more about the entertainment value.
Do yourself a favor, check out Charlie Frye. He even has a demo video on his website so you can see him perform.
Here is a great bonus for you; Charlie Frye has several free magic tricks for you on his site. Learn some really cool things you can do to amaze your friends.
