Return of Mike Kasnoff – As the World Turns

Mike’s return will bring a new twist to As the World Turns. Something tells me that Katie will completely forget about a future with Jack Snyder. Her jealousies over Bonnie McKecknie and Brad will diminish because of Mike’s return. I always thought Mike was Katie’s true love. I am excited to see which direction the new Mike will go in: will he find a new love, or will he be a carpenter or a model like before? This will definitely cause friction between Mike and Brad.

Gwen & Will Munson – As the World Turns

I am very sad to see these two leave show. I was unsure about Gwen’s place in the show when she arrived in Oakdale. She was this mysterious teenager that somehow had a connection to Casey but never thought a baby would be involved in the mix. I thought Gwen received such poor treatment by Casey and his entire family. Gwen was determined to take care of her baby. Over the years I have grown to respect her character for being resilient, especially when she is faced with so many odds.

Will has never had it easy with a mother like Barbara Ryan. He is indirectly responsible for killing Rose and has committed a countless number of acts that compelled many to believe he was crazy and belonged in a mental institution. When Will broke free of Barbara’s grasp, he began to slowly turn his life around.

Victor Newman Jr. – The Young and the Restless

Even though Vic Jr. is not a soap rumor, his character is a mystery to me. Though I vaguely remember Vic Jr. as a young child, I clearly remember the relationship between Hope and Victor. It was sweet, tender and never volatile or complicated. Hope was Victor’s escape from the craziness of Genoa city. Vic Jr. was never accepted into the Newman family because Hope wanted to shelter Vic Jr. and allow him to have a simple life with sound family values. The new Vic Jr. is very much like the other Newman children - he is ambitious and driven, but seems to have more humility. I would imagine that is a trait he picked up from Hope. Victor is not known for his modesty!
