Italian Sparkling Wine Cocktails
These are lovely, Italian twists on traditional cocktails.
A fresh take on the Mimosa cocktail.
Ingredients
- 3 ounces Champagne
- 1 ounce Amaretto
- 1 ounce Grand Marnier
- 1 ounce orange juice
- orange slices
Directions
- Pour the amaretto and Grand Marnier into a champagne flute.
- Pour in the Champagne.
- Garnish with an orange slice and serve.
Note: Grand Marnier (gʀã maʀnje) is a liqueur created in 1880 by Alexandre Marnier-Lapostolle. It is a kind of triple sec, made from a blend of true cognacs, distilled essence of "Citrus Bigaradia," a Caribbean orange, and other ingredients. Because oranges were a rare treat reserved for holidays Grand Manier became a liqueur associated with luxury.

- 5 ounces sparkling wine, brut
- 1 ounce orange juice
- 1 ounceAmaretto DiSaronno
- Orange slices
Directions
- Pour Amaretto and orange juice into a tulip shaped glass.
- Pour the sparkling wine into the glass.
- Garnish with half an orange slice.
Note: Amaretto is a sweet almond liqueur. It is made from a base of apricot or almond pits, with added spices and flavors.
