A great romance movie requires a lot of things to make it great. It needs an interesting storyline, intriguing characters and some awesome music just to name a few. The most important thing out of all is to have characters with amazing chemistry. This makes us enjoy a movie even more. It brings the story to life and has us hoping that they’ll end up together because they are just so great for each other, or hoping that they’ll stay together when times are tough. Here are some lovable and memorable romance movie couples:

Jack & Rose from Titanic

Jack comes to her rescue and saves her from plunging off the ship into the thrashing waters below. Who would not be in love with a guy who does that for you? But it isn’t a straight forward romance because Rose is already engaged. To make matters worse, Rose’s mother is not impressed with this lower class man but that doesn’t stop these two from being together. They have amazing chemistry in this film. I can’t imagine anyone else playing these two characters, they’re perfect. What a gorgeous couple!

Robby & Julia from The Wedding Singer

A hilarious comedy set in the 80’s with a great soundtrack. The Wedding Singer brings us the heartbroken Robby and the gorgeous soon to be married Julia. They immediately click from the word go. You can actually picture them being together, they work so well together. Such a sweet couple that were made for each other all along.

Noah & Allie from The Notebook

This couple certainly has their ups and downs but when it comes down to it, they are perfect for each other. From the first time Noah sees Allie, he wants her straight away and he doesn’t give up until he gets her. They have a beautiful young romance together but are torn apart. It never stopped either of them thinking about the other, their love is way too powerful to just fall apart. The anger, jealousy and betrayal is felt but their passion for one another overrides all of these others emotions.

Romeo + Juliet (1996)

Ahh young love. This is a powerful and tragic story, we all know how it ends, but this is one of the most recognised movie couples that exist. We can thank the great William Shakespeare for this fantastic story of the dramas unfolding between two young lovers. Not even their two feuding families can tear them apart and they leave the Earth together.
