Winter Events In TennesseeIf you will be heading to Tennessee this winter, there are a lot of festivals and events going on. Stretch out your vacation if you can to include some of the following exciting events for the winter of 2011 - 2012. Gatlinburg, Tennessee is located in the beautiful Smoky Mountains. If you like the wonderful spirit of a small town where you can get in touch with the glory of nature, you will love Gatlinburg. Just being anywhere in the great Smoky Mountains is a spiritual experience. Check out their calendar of events at Gatlinburg Events on the Internet for the winter of 2011 - 2012. Gatlinburg Winter Magic, Trolley Ride of Lights, Winter Magic Tunes and Tales, Gatlinburg Improv Fest, and the New Year's Eve Ball Drop and Fireworks, are just some of the things to include for your entertainment and fun. Any time of the year will make you fall in love with Tennessee. During the Christmas season a magical transformation takes place as you step back in time. Hold on to your Santa caps -- there is a lot going on in the Upper Cumberland Region this winter. Also in Knoxville will be the Holiday Festival Of Lights at The Cove at Concord Park, with bonfires and treats. The city of Franklin will have a living history event where you can get a hands-on feeling of life in the past. In Chattanooga you will be able to see the musical gospel play, "Nativity", which is inspired by renowned poet Langston Hughes. The Titanic Christmas in Winter Wonderland in Pigeon Forge will be a memorable experience that will stay with you a long time. The event will be held every Saturday in December at the Titanic Museum Attraction. They have a magical Snow Princess that will arrive by horse-drawn carriage and she will light the winter night with thousands of Christmas lights and decorations aboard the Titanic as the invisible sprites of the mountains magically create a snowfall from the ship’s bow to welcome the fairy tale royalty. This extravaganza is a lovely tribute to the people who sailed on the Titanic. If you would like to really experience what it was like on-board the Titanic in 1912, this is will be a beautiful way to do it. There will be many other events and festivals going on this winter in Tennessee.
