Commonly Asked Questions

These are commonly asked questions that brides are asking me, I will always answer, sometimes it might take a while, but I will answer.

Question: Are Marriage Licenses requirements the same in each state?
Answer: Every State is different. Not all States have the same steps, some have blood tests and medicals, others is a single license issuance. To be on top of the game,go to the Department of Licensing in your State and start asking questions.

Question: How to ask for money, to help pay for a honeymoon, instead of a present, without sounding rude?
Answer: I usually would word it as, the couple is asking for money instead of gifts, their household is together and they would like to start their life together with a honeymoon in style.

Question: What dates should I watch out for, when planning my wedding for the year 2011/2012?
Answer:
Any holidays such as Valentines Day 2-14. Fourth of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. In the beginning getting married on a holiday seems idea and a great way to celebrate, these dates are also usually hard to co-ordinate as people have plans. As well some vendors might look at this as an opportunity to make extra money,

Question: Who is invited to an Engagement Party?
Answer: There is always such great emphasis on the traditions, I say if you would like them at the wedding, then invite them to your engagement party.

Question: How do you talk about the gift registry?
Answer: I always say, let someone else be the blabbermouth. Don't do it yourself. Leave it to friends and family. In reality though Registries are great. You can make your lists, and people will know they are spending hard earned money on a needed/wanted item.

I just thought I would share a few questions, I will always try to answer. You can always hop over to the forum and ask away. We have a great following and some great advice can be found. Take care everyone. This is Sandra Sable signing off. Till next time lets talk weddings.
