Halo 1
The game that started it all. I still remember when this came out. I loved the graphics. I loved the storyline. The chapter titles were cute, and the dialogue and twists were great. We played this game over and over again. Especially that last "mad driving course run" - that was a blast to rocket through. We could argue about which path was the best path for hours.

Halo 2
It's hard to say that Halo 2 was a bit of a letdown. It's sort of like watching the Matrix movie - and then seeing Matrix 2. When the first one is so groundbreaking, how can the second one really be equally as groundbreaking? Few second movies hit that mark well. I suppose most people feel The Empire Strikes Back was the best movie of the original trilogy, but it is a pretty rare thing to do. I think I was most annoyed that Halo 2 didn't really seem to end, it was more of a "to be continued". Then again, I felt that way about Empire when it came out. I hated the ending. Once the trilogy finished, though, the middle movie was much more satisfying. Damn those Ewoks.

In any case, it's important to understand what is going on in Halo 2 - because it sets up the storyline and situation for Halo 3!
