Daddy Cuddles - Book Review

Daddy Cuddles - Book Review
Daddy Cuddles by Anne Gutman is a sweet board book for infants and toddlers. It is about different animal dads hugging their offspring. Have a Happy Hug Day every day of the year.

Daddy Cuddles’s simple pictures are illustrated by Georg Hallensleben. The colors are bright. Use the primary colors to teach a small child the names of the different colors. The daddy and baby animal pictures are adorable.

Anne Gutman describes how each animal dad cuddle their baby. Her simple words convey the affection behind each daddy's soft touch.

For example, Anne Gutman in Daddy Cuddles describes the beauty of a daddy penquin’s cuddle. She writes that a daddy penquin cuddles his chick with his body. Georg Hallensleben’s picture captures the love between the two. The animals are soft and cuddly.

There is a beaver with a pup. Here she writes, a daddy beaver cuddles his pup with a hug. And she writes about a monkey, tiger and koala. The last pair is a human daddy with his baby.

The infants and toddlers board book’s soothing tempo makes Daddy Cuddles a great bedtime book. Your baby will take comfort in the love between the dads and their children in the book. A baby will enjoy the family love conveyed in the story.

The board book's thick pages are perfect for children from birth to four-years-old. Children at that age have undeveloped motor skills. Infants and toddlers can turn the thick pages themselves. Young children are able to read and/or look at the pages on their own. Children love to imitate grownups.

January 21 is Hugging Day. Share the board book and hugs with a special child in your life.
