About Amino Acids and Enzymes - Your Key to Health and Anti-Aging
As I continue my research and my quest into how I can try to maintain my health and also fight the by-products of aging, amino acids and enzymes have come to my attention as the two key factors in a healthy digestive system. If your pancreas is not producing enough digestive enzymes to break down the proteins you have ingested, you will wind up with a sluggish digestive system and most likely a large belly over time. In recent scientific studies, it has been shown that belly fat can actually generate more fat - you could say it takes on a 'life of its own'. It is a living organism.
This was taken from www.foxnews.com - 'Hidden Fat': Deep belly fat, technically called "visceral fat" which is fat surrounding organs within the abdomen - has been linked to health problems including heart disease, Type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome. Menopausal and Post Menopausal women in particular are at risk to develop this type of fat.
Fox News was talking about a new study out on belly fat - which said inactivity led to a buildup of fat deep inside the belly. However, with fairly rigorous exercise, it also states belly fat can be cut and also fat around the waist. This is some good news on the subject; for, if we do not keep active, we are inviting a host of problems which could eventually lead to disease.
I have been researching the benefits of the following: Marine Plankton / Seaweed - recently there was an article in one of the celebrity gossip magazines which stated recently a fairly well-known celebrity (forgot his name) started on a regimen of seaweed when he was diagnosed with cancer. He claims he eradicated it completely.
Some other products that are crucial in helping you either get into, or stay into, good health and good shape -- Spiralina, Chlorella, Chelation (i.e., chelated minerals), sea veggies, seaweed;
Hippocrates said "let thy food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food"....
Look into the various products available to you by Garden of Life, Carlson Labs, New Chapter (Suzanne Somers takes their products), Tropical Traditions, to name just a few quality companies.
I am currently taking 'fruits from the Amazon' which include Acai juice, Noni Juice, Pomegranate and several others for the benefits of anti-oxidant activity.
More to come in my next article on these topics.........Happy August!
