Brain food is necessary for your mind to function optimally.
That's a basic scientific fact. Your mental abilities, motivation and the way you feel are all controlled by your brain, which is powerfully influenced by diet.
Good brain food feeds a positive mental outlook, gives you high energy and influences how well you handle daily tasks. The big question is are you getting the nutrients you need for your brain to produce the health and wealth you want in life?

Research shows your brain is a voracious and picky eater. It's become increasingly clear from numerous studies that specific nutrients increase your mental abilities.
Good brain food helps you concentrate and focus better, tunes and increases your reaction time, keeps you feeling inspired and motivated, improves your memory, reduces stress and even slows down aging. WOW!
But there's strong evidence that the standard American diet (SAD), high in sugar, processed foods, saturated and trans-fats and low in good fats, fruits and vegetables, isn't just SAD, it's bad for your health, your heart and your brain.
It may even be the major cause for depression and faulty thinking.
The Right Fat vs. the Wrong Fat
Most Americans get far too much of the wrong fats and far to little of the right fat.
The health, fitness and productivity of your brain not only depends on how much (or little) fat you get, but on what kind. Intellectual performance requires the specific type of omega 3 fatty acids found in fish – omega 3 fish oil with EPA and DHA.
In most cultures, fish has traditionally been considered a brain food.
But science has now proven that nearly 70% of your brain is made up of the essential omega 3 fatty acids EPA and DHA – found in fish, such as wild salmon.

EPA and DHA are the crucial components of the outer membrane of brain cells. And all brain cell membranes continuously need to be refreshed with a new supply.

On the other hand, low levels of DHA have been linked to suicide, violence and an increased tendency towards depression. Now, that’s definitely bad for business.
Other studies show far fewer cases of depression with diets high in omega 3 fish oil.
If your brain is still all there and you want to keep functioning at a high level, then taking quality fish oil with EPA and DHA will certainly seem like a wise thing to do. It's not only a smart business move, it’s a wise thing to do for a long, happy, healthy life.
