Quilting Arts TV - Series 100 Review

Quilting Arts TV - Series 100 Review
If you’re one of those quilters who simply HAVE to have a needle in their hand each day, and suffer withdrawal symptoms if this doesn’t happen, this DVD is a very good substitute for stitching. Sit through just one episode of Quilting Arts TV and your blood pressure is back to normal, your shaking hands are steady and you are able to converse calmly to those who need your interaction. Yes I would go so far to say that this DVD is even better than a dose of medicine.

But wait… this is not just a stand-alone DVD series, there’s so much more. Not only does this DVD contain a multitude of interesting subjects, but there is a companion website that works hand in hand with the DVD, containing instructions and articles, and at times, PDF patterns of projects that have been screened on each of the episodes on the DVD.

Some of the subjects contained in the first series 100 include: Landscaping Quilts, Using Paintstiks, Dimensional Mixed Media Books, Making Fabric from Paper, Machine pieced borders, Scrap Faces, Artists Trading Cards, Small Floral Quilts. And that’s just for starters. There are 13 shows in the series and each series has up to five segments. The clever people at Interweave offer common segments in each episodes, such as the America Quilts Feature with Sue Hausmann and a Digital segment with Andrea Bishop from The Electric Quilt Company, and of course a very user friendly segment presented by the host of Quilting Arts TV, Pokie Bolton.

Pokie also presents to her quilting audience, a number of “quilt specialists” in their field and some of the personalities are Robbi Joy Eklow, Jeanie Sumrall-Ajero, Joyce Drexler, Pam RuBert, Mary Hettmansperger and lots more.

If I had the option of only taking one DVD with me on my vacation it would be my Quilting Arts TV DVD Series 100. This DVD has so much to offer, I doubt that I could complete all the fabulous projects in 3 months let alone a two week vacation. This series is the first of three DVD’s produced by the people from Interweave. This series of DVD’s has to be the most user friendly of its kind and a joy just to watch.

Below in the Related Links section is a link to the Quilting Arts TV website. Pop across and check out what is available for you – all that is easy and free.

I hope to be able to review the second series 200 in the near future, keep watching this space.
