If the internet is now your main source for daily news, you’ve probably noticed that something is missing. No, not newsprint all over your hands or stacks of papers sitting in the corner waiting to be taken to the recyclers, but the weekly sale circulars.
Major retailers have also noticed the trend toward online news and have added to their advertising arsenal accordingly. You no longer have to buy a paper or visit a store to obtain the latest sale flyers, almost every major retailer now posts their weekly sale insert online.
The online circulars contain the same graphics, information and prices as the printed version that would have arrived in your newspaper. Most sites offer the option of creating a printable shopping list from their online ads. This option allows you can create a customized version of the "flyer" to take with you to the store.
For people who still get their sale advertising circulars in a paper, the online ads can come in handy when the paper doesn’t arrive on time or you misplace an ad.
I’ve posted links to a some of the sale circulars currently available online.
