I knew that this was one book I just had to read as soon as I witnessed my husband toting it around.
Me, “What are you doing with that book?”
He smiled and me with a look that let me know he was somewhat embarrassed, “I picked it up because it was the only thing in the bathroom, and I couldn’t put it down.”
Hmmm. With raised eyebrows I asked, “What is it about.”
“Some horny lady.” He laughed.

Ok. I was hooked, A few days later hubby finished the book and it was finally my turn to see what had him smiling and grinning like the Cheshire cat. All I had to do was begin reading page 1 and I was not disappointed.

From the very first word all of my senses were on full alert. Humor columnists, Judith Marks-White is very adept at the art of description. With effortless panache, she seduces the reader in a world where every detail is important.

In the opening chapter we are introduced to Coco Harding, a humor columnist for Connecticut's Seaport Gazette. Much like her namesake the famous designer, Coco enjoys the finer things in life. For the most part, she has it all, supportive parents, a beautiful intelligent daughter, caring friends, and a husband who is able and willing to give her everything she desires with the exception of (drum roll please) a fulfilling sex life. As fate would have it, Coco, meets a very handsome, very successful, and very interested man in the form of plastic surgeon extraordinaire Harry.

Spouses aside it doesn’t take the two very long to hook up and share their love of both sumptuous food and sex. Before they now it they are even sharing outings with their respective spouses included. Everything seems to be going just fine with the couple’s illicit love affair when lo and behold, mysterious letters start to appear. While Harry and his wife Éclair seem to take the letters in stride, Coco and her husband Parker are shaken. Unable to cease her torrid affair with Harry, Coco continues letting him satiate all of her appetites in some of New York’s most popular places.

Things begin to take on a more serious tone when the letters become more threatening. Despite the death threats, Coco continues her affair until things finally fall apart during a couples get together at Harry and Éclair’s home in the Hampton’s. At this point the novel becomes a hilarious who done it.
