Hello, and welcome back! We may get our first real snow of the season later today, but I'm not holding my breath. Instead, I'm digging further into my stack of February romances and enjoying Patricia Rice for next time out. In the meantime, I have two new books this time out.

Dangerous Games (St. Martin's) by Lora Leigh is up first. Morganna Chavez has been keeping her new job with the DEA a secret from her SEAL brother and the super-macho hunk she's been in love with forever. Clint McIntyre just happens to stumble onto her in one of his favorite clubs, a place that caters to those into the dom/sub scene. Too bad the bad guys have already figured out her job and put out a hit on her. Worse, they're also after Clint, a guy who's so alpha and 'wounded' it's unbelievable. If you're a Leigh fan, this is probably right up your alley. I haven't been a fan of hers in some time, and this one hasn't made me revert. Morganna simply seems a glutton for punishment (which, luckily for her perhaps, Clint is only too happy to dish out), pining for him for years, and Clint needs a good therapist to deal with his past.

The Dream-Hunter (St. Martin's) by Sherrilyn Kenyon shifts into a new area of her paranormal world, this time expanding to Atlantis. Megeara, aka Geary, Kafieri knows her father was onto something in his quest to find the legendary island when he died, and she's determined not to fail him. Arikos lives in dreams and Geary's are vivid enough to hold him. If he wants a real life again, even temporarily, he has to give Geary's life, or rather her soul, up to Hades. There've been a string of recent Atlantis books lately, and if it's an area you're interested in, you may want to see what Kenyon has done with it. If you're a student of Greek mythology and don't like with the myths, and the gods and goddesses within them, to be messed with, you may want to avoid it. It didn't work for me because of the latter, but I'm not a huge fan of any author dabbling with known mythologies (P. C. Cast excluded). Kenyon fans, however, will no doubt disagree and enjoy this one all the same.
