Stone Sour, the Grammy-nominated band featuring Corey Taylor and Jim Root of Slipknot, will be the headliners for this year’s Jägermeister Music Tour. The tour will also feature special guests Lacuna Coil and Shadows Fall.



This has been quite a year for the band, also featuring bassist Shawn Economaki, guitarist Josh Rand and new drummer Roy Mayorga, which has just come home from their sold-out European/UK tour. Prior to that, they enjoyed a successful run as the opening act for Evanescence in the US and Canada. Their sophomore release Come What(ever) May has been certified gold and is streaking towards platinum.

The band’s first record enjoyed massive success due to the popularity of the hit single and video “Bother” written by Corey Taylor. The new record is even more of a balanced and polished product, highlighted by the awesome single “Through Glass”. There is much more on the record, however, such as the next single “Sillyworld”. The Jägermeister Music Tour Spring 2007 Tour begins March 22 and runs through May. This is the 6th year for the tour which in the past has featured Slipknot, Disturbed, Staind and Hatebreed. People who attend the shows will get the opportunity to win swag such as Jägermeister prizes like compilation CDs, t-shirts and hats. There are also custom prizes and giveaways from companies such as Schecter Guitars, Peavey Electronics, and Coffin Case.
