Easy and Cheap Christmas Gifts
Christmas is almost here. The Christmas tree, gifts, snow and all that go with it. Need some quick and easy Christmas gifts that are sure to please? Gifts that people will actually want and will cherish?
Homemade Fort Kit
Forts or tents, no matter how you say it, they spell fun. They are so easy and inexpensive and are excellent for making memories whether your little ones are near or far; whether you have children, grandchildren or are the babysitter (maybe all of the above?).
What you will need:
Suction cups (multi-surface)
Clothes line or rope (used to hang the sheet from)
1 package of clothes pins
Matching flashlight (optional, any flashlight will do).
Glow sticks, stars, lantern ($1 store, alternatives to flashlight optional)
Clamps
Flat sheets or light blankets
The bag that the sheet comes in (if not, buy a bag to put tent in)
Twinkle lights (for decoration, optional)
Instructions
Gather items. Fold or roll sheets and place in bag along with the rest of the items. Wrap it, send it or give it. It’s a gift the special little ones in your family will never forget. Let’s make some Christmas memories.
Hot Chocolate Mix Ornaments
Do you like hot chocolate? Know people that do? Here’s the perfect gift. They’re easy, inexpensive, make pretty ornaments and taste good too. Who wouldn’t like to have hot cocoa hanging from their Christmas tree?
What you will need:
1 single serving package of instant hot cocoa mix per ornament
1 clear plastic fillable food safe plastic ornament per gift
Sprinkles (optional)
Various varieties of chocolate chips (tiny)
1 bag of tiny marsh mellows (or bits)
1 note per item for directions
1 funnel (for filling ornaments)
Instructions
Make sure ornament is clean, remove top and fill using the funnel. Add the hot chocolate mix first, then add sprinkles, chocolates and marsh mellows bits. Put lid on tight and deliver to family and friends standing upright or wrap the top with plastic wrap to keep contents from spilling. Perfect given alone or with other gifts as well.
