Locating eBay niches and finding products to fill the need is easy with this often overlooked free source of information.

Am I safe in saying that you have heard many people tell you about finding a niche, or look for products that interest you and have an eager but unserved market, etc. etc.
Well . . . how are you supposed to find a niche of hungry buyers if there aren't many sellers? Let me tell you it's not easy, in fact I have spent many, many hours scouring eBay to find them too, and I have managed to stumble onto a great way to do some research.

It's time to take your searching to the web, you see, because of the size and ease of use that is part of your online research. You can start searching through these free newspapers online.
That's right, if you go to https://www.nickelads.com or https://pennysaver.com ( and many more like it ) you can search through their "wanted" classifieds. If you start to see several ads for certain items, check your own local throwaway paper to see if anyone is buying the same stuff.
You are looking for keywords such as . . .
"wanted to buy" "cash paid" "I buy" "top dollar paid"
I'm sure you will find or can think of more.
The next thing you want to do is search eBay to see if there is a market for your new found niches. I'll bet you'll be surprised. You can even browse through their eBay's Want It Now Section
You will find there to be many more niche possibilities that need to be filled, now the next challenge is sourcing products to fill your new found NEEDS and WANTS.
