Lisa Palleschi - A Sweet Release
I had a couple of false starts when I started to listen to Lisa Palleschi's CD Released. The telephone would ring or something else would occur to divert my attention and I'd miss a part of what was playing, decide I wasn't doing Lisa's hard work and talent justice, so I'd set it aside for another more opportune time. Well, that moment came a few days ago, and I was right to wait. This is an impressive first effort that I believe will result in some long lasting hits. Each time I've listened since I've found something new to smile about, something more to make me nod and say "nice!"
The first track on this CD to catch my true attention was the song entitled aptly enough "True". From there it was one song after another that seemed to out do the one before it. "Lightyears Away", "I Promise" and "Just Like Heaven" are all candidates for my favorite. I thought you might like to listen to her first single, "Learning How to Love Again" for yourself, so I've included it as a link. While I'm drawn by her ballads, she offers much more. If you're more inclined towards rock you'll no doubt enjoy "This is Me" and "I Wanna See You Cry!"
There is some real talent here and when you take a look at the list of names that helped make this one happen you can be sure her career is just getting its start. Released was produced by Frank Fillipetti, Jeff Franzel, Dana Calitri, Steve Skinner, Adrian Gurvitz, Lou Mastantuono, Jon Kaplan, Mike Shimshack and Ms. Palleschi herself. So, add this one to your collection and make sure you set aside some quality time to allow it to weave its way into your life and heart. You'll find it definitely a sweet release.
