Trish Stratus

Patricia Anne Stratigias was born in Richmond Hill, Ontario on December 18, 1975.
She is a former fitness model that turned to pro wrestling in 2000 when she joined the WWE. Her early career in the organization saw Trish in many sexually charged angles, including managing the team of T & A, (Test and Albert) and she was also in a storyline romance with WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon.

She soon came into her own as a wrestler and a manager. She held the Women’s title on seven different occasions with her seven year tenure in the WWE, the most of any lady wrestler in the company. This feat has earned her a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records. Besides the Women’s Championship, Trish has held the WWE Hardcore title,
Was voted three time “Babe of the Year” and was also voted Diva of the Decade at Raw’s Tenth Year Anniversary show.

Besides Test and Prince Albert, Trish had also managed Val Venis, Christian, Kurt Angle, Mickie James, Carlito, Jeff Hardy, Chris Jericho and the Big Show, just to name a few. She retired from wrestling on September 17, 2006 and then married her high school sweetheart and boyfriend of fourteen years on September 30, 2006. She opted to do a television show called “Armed and Famous” instead of going on her honeymoon. On “Armed and Famous” she trained to be a volunteer police officer in Muncie, Indiana for the television reality show of the same name. Also on the show were LaToya Jackson, and Erik “Don’t Call Me Ponch” Estrada.

Trish even refused a shoot in Playboy magazine because she wanted to be remembered for her wrestling career and not the model shoot. She has worked for several charities like the Ronald McDonald House, Dreams Take Flight and the Special Olympics. In December of 2007, she is going to be part of a celebrity relay team for the Island Triathlon Series to help raise money for Dignitas International.

Her nickname in the WWE was the “quintessential diva” and Trish Stratus has lived up to every bit of that moniker. Her feats will never be duplicated in the wrestling ring and she is missed by all of her fans who loved to watch her wrestle.
