Accessories for Your Prom Hairstyle
In this sophisticated prom style, long hair is pulled back into a low bun. If your hair is not long enough or thick enough to pull it back easily, back-comb it all over to add fullness and then smooth it lightly over the top. Form it into the bun and pin with hidden bobby pins. Accent it by wrapping a ribbon or string of pearls around it or by tucking in flowers.
In this very soft and feminine updo, ribbons are woven through some but not all of the curls. The ribbons are added as the curls are put into place so that they are secure in the hairstyle. If flowers are used, finish the placement of the curls and then gently tuck in flowers and secure them with bobby pins. Use fresh flowers or finely made silk flowers.
This updo is formal while still feminine. One ribbon is used to weave through the curls at the base of the cluster leaving long ends at the beginning and end. The ribbon is anchored with bobby pins at intervals, making sure that it appears to flow freely. The ends are tied softly and left to drape down the back or one side.
