Thank you for your interest in the Senior Issues newsletter. I plan to issue a newsletter weekly when new articles are posted to the Senior Issues website. If I find news articles, books, websites, or DVDs that might be of interest to my readers, I will pass those along via the newsletter as well. I am very new to BellaOnline, but I plan to make the Senior Issues website one where people continually return to find answers. If you don’t see a topic listed that is important to you, please contact me. If appropriate, and if I think others might be interested in that topic too, I’ll do my best to write about it. Much of the content in my articles comes from personal experience gained from caring for my aging mother. Currently, I have posted articles concerning financial issues I’ve encountered so far with my mother and her increasing dementia.
However, I’m not getting any younger either and find that I am personally encountering senior issues. Preparing for retirement, dealing with chronic pain, diet and exercise, and preparing my adult children for the day when they may have to take care of me—these are some the of the issues I will cover in future articles and will share my experiences in that regard too.
My sister and her husband are significantly older than I, and I plan to share some of their experiences. My brother-in-law was recently diagnosed with lymphoma and our family has had a crash course in dealing with cancer and its treatment. At this writing, he is preparing for his sixth chemo treatment. I have much to share with my readers concerning our family’s journey so far.
