Grey Fox is an institution that speaks the hearts and minds of the liberated ones left in society – those crazy eccentrics that maybe Kerouac was talking about when he proclaimed his love for those who are mad; mad to live, mad for life. Either that or Grey Fox is the finest example of why a certain degree of censorship is necessary in a reasonable society. Either way, it's a great party with friends to keep for life. Larry D. 23, Detroit MI
It is exciting to be here on the hill. All this wonderful music and colorful imagery around me brings such joy to my heart. The peaceful setting lets me leave lifes stressors behind, even if for a short 4 days. Angie, 25 years since I was 12 yo. CT

I fly all the way out here for 5 days because it is so worth it. I go to a lot of festivals, but I don't know of any other that is consistently top notch bludgrass, and full of such a nice community. Everyone has been coming here for so many years, that the whole hill is self-policing – there's no huge security presence, or the need for one. We have adequate security personnel and they remain very low-key, because they have to do so little. Even when it rains, it's still the finest festival on the east coast. You can hear the stage on the radio. The line up is stellar, new comers are instant converts. David, 40yo, Berkeley, CA, 6th year.
First time at Grey Fox and new to bluegrass music. Awesome experience, wonderful people. The camping is great, I love to volunteer and give back to others as a friend of Bill W. My girlfriend, Bonnie, said she won't miss next year, because of the workshops, her daughter Raelyn plays the fiddle. Thanks for a great experience, I will be back. Dennis F. 43 yo, 1st year, Delaware, NJ
I volunteer and attend quite a few festivals a year, but this is one of my favorites. Friendly patrons, artists that are approachable, and great food and music. I'll be back next year. Tommy Wasnesky, North Hanover TWP, NJ
We jammed until 5:00am this morning. How much better can life be? Mike, 58yo, MA

I've been into Bluegrass for about 20 years. My favorite performers are Dry Branch Fire Squad and Del McCrory and that is who I came to see. It's my first time here because it fit my schedule this year. I like the variety but I don't like the hill. Jim Kruppner, 79 yo, Warsaw, NY
There is something here for everyone. I especially like that I can bring my family and not worry about my kids. It exposes them to a broad selection of acoustic music. They participate in the kids academy and after 5 years they are getting to be pretty good musicians. A proud mother, 35yo, 6 year veteran, RI
I go to a lot of festivals each year and each one has its own special character. Grey Fox, however, is the only one that effectively brings the community together each year to form a little town. This is the one, I won't miss. Bill, 30 years on the hill, picker from the mountains of TN
I'm hoping to be here, standing right here on this same spot, 30 years from now.
