Want to help the Democrats get elected? The Democrats have launched a new website to help you get involved. 100actions.com is designed to help you get involved by presenting a new action you can take each day. The actions are designed to get Democrats elected in all races from school board to the U.S. Senate.
Day one started with registering with you state Democratic Party to volunteer. This is made simple with their online forum. You fill in your contact information. There is list to check where your interests are: phone calling, door-to-door canvassing, get-out-the-vote work, general office work, computer work, write letters to an editor, and recruit other volunteers. There is place to tell of your Special Skills, Languages, or Previous Experience. Provide them with any additional information you would like them to know and click the submit button. You have just completed your first action!
Day two, is register someone to vote. They have provided two tools to assist you with this action. The first is an online form letter that you can send to ten email addresses at a time. The message lets them know that the only way they can vote, is to register to vote. It lets them know that this is more important than ever, as America is headed in the wrong direction. It provides them with a link to the Democratic agenda that shows how Democrats will take America in a new direction. It also provides a link to the second tool, an online voter registration form. Here you can fill out, print and then mail the form to the address they provide you for your local election office. This is a great tool, not just for your friends, but also for yourself if you are not yet registered to vote.
The countdown calendar on the site lets you know how many day are left until the election. You can sign up for email updates from the site. There is a place to suggest an action and to tell your story. They provide a place to donate on line by credit card or to sign up for Democracy Bond program, enabling you to make an automatic reoccurring donation the first of each month in the amount you choose.
The event finder is a great tool! Just enter your zip code and it will tell you about Democratic Party Events in your area. Are you planning an event, this tool will help you manage it. Enter your Zip Code and select the type of event you are hosting: campaigning, meeting, organizing, a rally, or social event. Tell them the title of your event, a description of the event, when and where it is being held. All that is left now is tell people about your event. This is made easy with their letter-writing tool Just fill in the email address you want the event details sent to, and add a personal message. Hit send, every one on your list has been invited and your event is available for others to find with the event locator. Have you signed up for a lot of events? Created a number of events? The event manager will help you track all of your events.
