Quickly becoming the choice of vacation for numerous vacationers, Costa Rica’s raw, natural beauty creates a powerful draw. From high, mountainous regions of awe-inspiring cloud forests, to warm, white-sand beaches, has truly got it all. Whether you want to hike or kayak, backpack or surf, visit nature preserves or view sea turtles, is guaranteed to have everything you’ve ever wanted in a vacation.

Rocky Mountains, Colorado

Most well known for its ample ski resorts like Vail and Aspen, this are is ideal for the outdoor adventure traveler, especially one that loves the snow. In addition to downhill skiing, there are also plenty of opportunities to snowshoe, snow board, and cross country ski.

Colorado Springs, Colorado

Colorado Springs has long been known as a popular outdoor recreation area. With gorgeous scenery and mountains of wilderness, it is excellent for backpackers, hikers, and other visitors simply wishing to take in the view of this lovely locale. As an interesting bit of trivia, “ the Beautiful” was inspired by its peaks and valleys

Scottsdale, Arizona

More of a luxury outdoor vacation venue, Scottsdale, Arizona is ideal for the golf enthusiast and spa/retreat visitor. Its warm weather, numerous golf courses and spas make Scottsdale an ideal vacation for the outdoor enthusiast that seeks a bit more luxury.

Portland, Maine

Most famously known as Stephen King’s hometown, Portland, Maine has a rugged, classical beauty that is ideal for those who enjoy vacations with plenty of accessibility to the outdoors that aren’t too strenuous. Hike along Maine’s rocky coast and enjoy myriad sights, like lighthouses, and museums that house a rich and powerful history.

Salt Lake City, Utah

Salt Lake City is home to gorgeous mountains and plunging canyons that are ideal for hiking, mountain biking, and even skiing. Utah is overlooked much of the time, but is home to some truly spectacular beauty that deserves a visit.

Kalispell-Glacier Area, Montana

Home to some of ’s last truly vast wilderness, there is much land in this region of Montana that deserves a visit. Pristine mountains and valleys with spectacular sights and powerful beauty beckon travelers to everything from hiking and backpacking to camping and sightseeing. Many trails and areas are accessible only by foot, adding to the untouched quality that is so intriguing.

Whistler, BC, Canada

Best known for its long runs and deep powder, Whistler is truly one of the greatest ski areas in North America. An hour from Vancouver, it boasts not only skiing, but hiking and backpacking in the summer months and spectacular views year round.
