Home Sweet Home
Our homes are a a special place of refuge to all who live there. Homes are about more than just the house structure that you live in. A home is a place with family, security and love. Most of us go through life living in different houses that we have made home for a time. Our homes are another wonderful blessing from God.
It is so easy to take our homes for granted. Many of us get caught in the trap of wanting more, or feeling like things will never be how we want them. Step back and take a look and be thankful and content for what you do have. There are many people who do not have a home to call their own. We are so blessed, and we often do take it for granted.
“A house is built by wisdom and becomes strong through good sense. Through knowledge its rooms are filled with all sorts of precious riches and valuables.” (Proverbs 24:3-4)
“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15
“My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest.” Isaiah 32:18

I am creating some pages about our home for each of my children's scrapbooks as well. I wish there were more pictures of my childhood home. I know that my children will cherish these pages about their home. Home is a place that we never do forget, but it is great to have those tangible photos to go along with the memories!
