Young Essential Skincare (Y.E.S.) is a company that focuses on anti-aging products. I tested the Y.E.S. Rejuvenating Moisture Cream, Anti-aging Serum and the Eye patches.
Company Values
What I admire about the company is the C.E.O.s’ work with Angel Faces. Angel Faces is a non-profit organization geared towards adolescent girls. Not just any adolescent girls, but those with sever facial disfigurement. Angel Faces empowers these young ladies with a holistic approach to realize their potential and that true beauty comes from within. 30% of Y.E.S.’s online sales are donated to this worthy charity (If purchasing online please make sure that you order from the page under charity).
They are also a company that does not test on animals.
Packaging
I was not impressed with the overall packaging that the duo Moisture Cream and Serum. What is supposed to be geared towards women that have concerns with their appearance as we get older, had a young looking female that appeared to be in her teens wearing fishnets on her arms. That would be great if this product was geared towards teens.
I would have preferred to see a woman in her 30’s or 40’s or older with fantastic looking skin. That would appeal to me. At this age, I don’t need trendy youth selling me products for my skin; I want a woman who’s experienced life who’s lived. I think the packaging would look a lot better if they put a photo of the owner on the front, Linda Eastwood. She looks fantastic! She has great skin and she exudes confidence that’s what we older ladies need.
The containers for the product I did like. The serum is packaged in a clear bottle and the moisturizer in a white container. It was very clean looking, nothing fancy letting the product do the talking instead of the container.
The Products
Y.E.S. Anti-Aging Serum- $60-30mL
This serum is good for all skin types. I found that it helped to control my oily skin throughout the day. I found it easily absorbed into my skin without feeling sticky or having a residue. With this serum, a little goes a long way. A pea size amount is enough to cover my entire face.
What I didn’t’ like was the slight chemical scent it had. However, once applied to you skin the scent quickly dissipates.
The active ingredients in the serum include CP24-Complex, Glycosaminogycans also known as GAGS(component of connective tissue), Algin (extracted from kelp, helps to normalize and revitalize the skin) and Shitake (helps to stimulate cell renewal)
Y.E.S. Moisture Cream - $55-60 mL
This is a moisturizer unlike any I have tried. It smells like cake and has a gel like consistency. Like the serum, a little moisturizer goes a long way. I liked the way it made my skin feel and noticed that it stayed hydrated throughout the day.
Sea buckthorn Fruit Oil is a natural anti-oxidant and helps with anti aging. It helps to moisturize, soften and repair the skin.
Peptides are also in this cream. Peptides help to also repair and rejuvenate damaged skin.
Squalane is an emollient which helps to moisturize the skin when topically applied.
After a month of using these products I did notice my skin looked a lot brighter, I also noticed that the lines around my mouth seemed less noticeable and my skin felt soft and smooth.
Y.E.S. Eye Patches-$20-2 pairs
These eye patches were extremely easy to use. They are said to remove the signs of fatigue while hydrating and lifting. Over time it is supposed to hydrate the skin.
The active ingredients in the eye patches are Chitosan which is a shellfish derivative (helps to hydrate skin and stimulate cell renewal), Vitamin C and collagen.
I used the eye patches twice. I did notice a difference in my under eye area. Considering the cost of the eye patches, I believe you’re better off using the serum and moisturizer instead.
Overall I loved the serum and moisture cream. What’s great is that you can order a trial from them, only paying the shipping & handling which is $6.95. I love that you can try it before you buy it!
