The Little Black Dress

No one can argue the versatility of the little black dress. It is not the mourning dress of years past. Black, regardless of season, never goes out of style. The great thing about black dresses is putting it with all those accessories you've collected over the years. Accessories have the ability to make the little black dress into a completely different outfit.

Black is a neutral color that doesn't call attention to the eye. Not that you would want to but you could probably wear the same black three times in a week and not have anyone notice; as long as you used a variety of accessories (but not all at once). When it comes to the little black dress, accessories are not limited to earrings, necklaces and bracelets. Your jackets, sweaters, shirts, scarves, shrugs, and shawls all become an accessory to transform your black dress.

This Rayon/Poly Matte Jersey mix is absolutely one of my favorites with it sweetheart neckline to make any bust line look good.

Paired with a shrug it will take you from a summer work day to an evening out.

Lane Bryant

Inexpensive super casual knit bubble-hem dress that is both sexy and fashionable. What do I like about this one? You can bend or lean without the world seeing your privates because this hem is sewn to another layer underneath to create the bubble effect.

This polyester V-neck and tank straps make this dress casual but you can very easily dress it up with your favorite jacket.

When it comes to the little black dress accessories are a must. Collarless works best. Sleeveless fits smoothly under a jacket but short sleeve dresses work well too. Even a simple t-shirt dress can be dressed up. Think bold colors.
