Natural Cellular Defense (NCD)is a safe, natural inert mineral supplement that has been approved by BioMed IRB of San Diego, California for clinical trials to evaluate the benefits of adding NCD Zeolite to the diet of children who have been diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum. The study is recruiting 200 subjects between the ages of 24 months and 18 years of age. This will be divided into two groups for a period of ninety days. Those that take the placebo will then be tracked for another ninety days while taking the NCD Zeolite.

Study Criteria includes at least a two-month of history of taking a multi-vitamin/supplement, and to continue with during the study. Also no chelators for the month prior to the study. The excllusions include no genetic defect such as Down Syndrome, Fragile X Syndrome or Tuberculosis. Also not less than 32 weeks gestation and no diagnosis of cerebral palsy.

Submission information for the study. This includes the child's name and birthdate as well as contact name, address and phone. Then a brief description of the diagnosis of child and treatment history.

After this is submitted you will receive an email with a copy of the Autism Treatment Evaluation Checklist (ATEC) and the Pervasive Developmental Disorder Behavioural Inventory (PDD-BI).

What is Zeolite

The FDA has given the rating of G.R.A.S. for Zeolite. This means generally recognized as safe. The study details - " The purpose of this study is to assess whether activated liquid zeolite is effective in reducing behaviour disorder in autism spectrum disorder children. At the beginning of treatment, the dose of activated liquid zeolite is titrated, by gradual increase from 1 drop/day up to a maximum of 20 drops/day, based on therapeutic response, with decreases allowed in case of adverse reactions. Patients will be assessed over three months."
