Personalized Card Decks
Looking on line and browsing card related subjects, I came across a few companies who take pictures and place them on decks of playing cards. The idea has worked for mugs, mousepads, make your own calendars, and even jigsaw puzzles in the past.
Research is the key to this as I have not taken advantage of any of the offers out there. Your budget and any time restrictions will guide you to the right company for your needs. You could also opt for a saying placed on the decks instead of pictures and that usually will be the less expensive route.
CHRISTMAS CARDS
What a novel idea! A regular deck of playing cards that can be used all year, yet with a picture of the whole family by the Christmas tree. It may cost more than a postage stamp to send them to friends and family, yet it would be a gift that keeps on giving.
WEDDING/ANNIVERSARY CARDS
How about a picture of the happy couple as a wedding favor for everyone? A souvenir of the big day for everyone to remember. It can be taken at the wedding and sent out later with the Thank You cards, if that is not in breach of etiquette. How about the happy couple 25 or even 50 years later? That also would make quite a memento.
BABY ANNOUNCEMENTS
Instead of a cigar, give everyone a deck of cards with the baby's picture on the back. Parents and grandparents alike should get a kick out of this baby announcement. That should be a reason for grandparents to get friends over for a card night.
FAMILY REUNIONS
How about the whole family in one big playing card deck? Everyone can chip in for the cost because everyone will be in the picture. It would make a nice memory of the event, not to mention always having a picture of loved ones. If you do scrapbooks, one of the Jokers in the deck could go in for a different look on a page.
GRADUATION
For a one of a kind gift or moment, how about a picture of the graduating class on the deck of cards? If the class is too big, then perhaps just a deck for each individual student posing in his or her cap and gown would suffice. Again, friends and family members like parents and grandparents would get the most out of this.
COMPANY PICNICS
If you are always saying that your company is like family, why not show it with everyone gathered together for a picture? Put it on a deck of cards and let employees show family members who they work with. If your company has branches, why not send each branch a deck; that way they can see who they are talking with. If you have favorite vendors, how about giving them a deck? It is a way of getting a different marketing and advertising idea out there to the public.
VACATIONS
Either a picture of the family on vacation, or a picture of a favorite scene on vacation will make this a memorable deck of cards. You could also use these for souvenirs for family and friends. They might enjoy them more than watching movies or slides of your vacation.
