Candlemaking Newsletter
Hello fellow candle makers and artists! My name is Angela Webster and I am the BellaOnline Candle Making Editor. I wanted to take some time to let you know that I am revamping the BellaOnline candle making site with fun new projects and many helpful tips.
I have several new and simple projects featured, that are fun and fitting for the seasons. This includes a Happy Hour Candle that looks just like your favorite icy beverage, perfect for the last of the summer parties. Also featured, are candles rolled in dry ingredients, such as; sand, coffee, or crystals. So easy, you’ll be back outside enjoying the fine weather in no time!

Every week I will be adding more projects or tips. I will also add color photos when I have them. Check us out frequently so you can get your projects done in time for the different seasons and holidays that are coming! I will be featuring candles perfect for autumn days and nights, Halloween, many festive holiday candles, and decorative display ideas for each. Some projects will be easy, some intermediate, and some advanced.
Have you ever wanted to try to make candles with the wooden wicks? I have! In fact, I’m experimenting with those right now. Soon, I should have a good formula, process, and helpful ideas for the best ways I’ve found to do them. I can let you know of my trials (good and bad) soon. With the weather finally cooling down (if you can call the 80s cooling down), I’ve been craving a campfire. I live in Southern Wisconsin and the weather here has been extremely hot and dry. We’re actually in a horrible drought, which in these parts, we don’t typically have to deal with. There are fire bans, so campfires are out for now. These wooden wick candles just may fill the need until we can have our campfire. Wish me luck!
Along with the projects, we will be exploring different waxes and their best uses and qualities. Hopefully, this will help you to have a good understanding of what works for certain projects, and what might not work for others. Maybe this will even help you find your favorite candle making niche.
I’ll be providing reviews of the products and suppliers I’ve used in the past and those that I still use. If anyone out there has a good tip on products or suppliers and you’re willing share, please tell us about it in our Candle Making Forum. Anytime you’d like to leave feedback, questions, or would like to see something specific, please let me know at our Candle Making Forum. I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
I am excited to be working with BellaOnline and look forward to sharing my ideas and techniques with everyone! I’m also very interested in hearing about your successes and ideas. Please stop by my Candle Making Website to see what we have. Be sure to tell your friends and family if you see something you think they’ll like.
