Goals Poetry

ATTEMPTING TO REACH A GOAL

I would rather stumble a thousand times
Attempting to reach a goal

Than to sit in a crowd
In my weather-proof shroud

A shriveled and self-satisfied soul.

I would rather be doing and daring
All of my error-filled days

Than watching, and waiting, and dying
Smug in my perfect ways.

I would rather wonder and blunder
Stumbling blindly ahead

Than for safety's sake
Lest I make a mistake
Be sure, be safe, be dead.

Footprints in the sand

A GOAL IS A MUST SO IS CONCENTRATION

The indispensable first step to getting the things you want out of life is this:

decide what you want.

You must first establish your objectives if you are to accomplish anything in a big way.

Goals give you a starting place and a destination. People with goals succeed because they know where they're going.

Determine what you want.

Decide on your major objectives, targets, aims, and destination. If you don't know where you're going, how can you expect to get there?

Goals are dreams that are written down. Plant your dreams, nourish and begin to live them.

The most important thing about a goal is having one.

The first law of success is concentration. Bend all of your energies to one point, and go directly to that point, looking neither to the right nor the left.

Concentration is the magic key that opens the door to accomplishment. Success is the result of well directed energy.

You can, in time, become what you earnestly desire to be, if you set your face in the direction of the things you want and bring all your powers to bear towards its attainment.

When your physical and mental resources are focused, your power to solve problems multiplies tremendously. To do two things at once is to do neither.

Nothing can add more power to your life as much as concentrating all your energies on a limited set of targets.

The sun's rays do not burn until brought to a focus.
