An Aromatic All-Over Body Mask
When's the last time you treated yourself to a head-to-toe body mask? Last week, last month, last year, Never? Well you don't have to travel to far off regions in order to experience this beauty ritual. This is a beauty treat that you can give yourself in the privacy of your own home. Not only will your skin experience the softness that body mask provide, you'll also have an opportunity to delight your senses with the beautiful aroma of essential oils.
These are the ingredients for one mask application. Here's what you'll need:
Enchanting Aromatic Blend
To Prepare Your Clay:
Mix the distilled water and honey together. Make sure your honey is room temperature. I don't suggest using the microwave oven to soften it. Add the essential oils, and then add the clay and sea salt.
Stir well until you create a nice and loose paste.
Your Spa Time Ritual:
Light a few candles.
Burn some incense to create a relaxing ambiance: Sandalwood, Jasmine or
Patchouli will work great! If you don't like the smell of burning incense, use a diffuser to get that same relaxing ambiance.
While in a dry bathtub, gently massage the scrub from the ankles to the thighs. Pay extra attention to your knees.
Then apply the scrub on your bust and arms, paying close attention to the elbows.
Do not apply the mixture to your face.
Shower to rinse it well.
Draw a warm bath.
You're going to add this blend to your bath water and soak for at least 15 minutes after you rinse all the mask off during your shower.
Notice, you'll be working with Rhassoul clay. Rhassoul is a clay mined from beneath the shafts of the Atlas Mountains. It has detoxifying, cleansing, degreasing and astringent properties. You can find it in natural food or Arabic stores, or replace it with regular green clay, also found at natural food stores.
That's it for this week. As always ...
