Metabolic Conditioning for Quick Weight Loss


Metabolic conditioning has become one of the most popular ways to burn fat and lose weight quickly and permanently. It combines metabolic workouts and a metabolic diet that alters your body chemistry, and produces fat burning hormones that force your body to burn fat as fuel so you lose weight quickly.

How Metabolic Conditioning Works
Metabolic conditioning also known as MetCon, Metabolic Effect (ME), Metabolic Workouts or Metabolic Training is just a technical term that means fat burning diet and exercises that are grouped together in a way that force your body to tap into all it’s energy sources (especially your fat stores) for fuel. Interval training, boot camp workouts and those Insanity commercials on t.v. are all great examples of MetCon workouts and what they can do for you in terms of quick weight loss.

How MetCon Burns More Fat and Speeds Up Weight Loss
The key thing to remember about metabolic conditioning for weight loss (it isn’t just for weight loss but we’ll stick to that for now) is that it’s focus is not on how many calories you burn during a workout but how much of your fat stores you tap into during workouts and during recovery the 24-48 hours after your workout is over. A 45 minute moderate intensity walk on the treadmill may burn tons of calories but there is zero "after burn" effect. A MetCon workout on the other hand burns tons of calories and fat during the workout and continues to do so while your body is recovering and this is what matters when it comes to quick weight loss that lasts.

How The ME Diet Speeds Up Results
Another advantage of MetCon is that you can pair it with a metabolic effect diet that increases fat burning hormones. This creates the ideal environment in your body that allows you tap into fat stores more effectively. Unlike low calorie diets that slow down your metabolism quickly and often permanently, the ME diet works with your body to speed up the metabolic process. The big bonus with this type of eating is that it also works to combat stress hormones that contribute to stubborn fat.

How To Get Started with Metabolic Conditioning
All the best fatloss experts use some type of MetCon Training to help clients lose fat and get fit so one of the easiest ways to try MetCon is to join a boot camp workout group in your area.
