Home Based Business Ideas

Guest Author - Katie Byrd

Home based business ideas are a dime a dozen on the internet. And, after researching hundreds of the more than eight million websites competing for Google hits under “work at home,” I’ve come to the conclusion that most of them are totally worthless. So how do you find what you’re looking for?

When checking out home based businesses be smart and realistic. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Hustlers know that greed is incredibly seductive and many will promise you anything - millions, if it’s to their advantage. Think about it. If this “hot, fast, easy, no work, six figure income opportunity” was the real thing, why is the salesman wasting his time and energy telling you about it? Why isn’t he just doing it himself?

Now don’t get me wrong, money is important. However, to be successful in business, your desire has to be bigger than a need for money. Most successful entrepreneurs need money, but what usually turns them on is their desire to do something special, to grow and develop as an individual and to fully use their talents and abilities to make a real difference for as many people as possible. Of course, a good income opportunity should be an essential part of the overall package.

When making a choice of who to partner up with, stay away from the “latest, greatest, hottest” and look instead for an established company with a solid reputation and good growth potential. The products or service should not only be marketable, they should also be something you personally connect with and feel good about. And make sure the company offers more than enough ongoing support so you’re not out there all alone trying to build your business. You want to be in business for yourself, but not by yourself.

My recommendation is Family Franchise. This company is well established and has a great reputation throughout the industry, with an excellent fifty year track record. The products are unique, exclusive and make a major positive difference for people all around the world. The initial investment is very low and with Family Franchise there’s no pressure. You can work when you want, play when you want, do as little as you need or as much as you want. It’s all up to you.
